This will be harder than expected

I got the schematic sorted over the weekend and started to layup the PCB. I don't have much of a plan for how I want it laid out. Other than needing to be circular to fit in the wheelhub the rest doesn't really matter as long as all the pins are accessible for connecting to switches for the inputs.
One thing I didn't account for was how many pins I would be routing using an I/O expander, a chip I haven't used before. While it is straightforward connections it's just a packaging problem that's going to stump me for a while.
I've already spent a few days on this, but doesn't feel like I've done much. Oh well, It'll take a few more iiterations for me to place everything and at least 2 full redesigns. No wonder Sim gear gets expensive 😅
